Today Station Master removed the circuit board of the ISS transmitter unit, cleaned it, replaced obviously faulty superconductor and sprayed the thing with electronics protection lacquer. Lo and behold–the circuit board booted alive!
Obviously, no warranty can be given to this fix, but let’s hope it lasts until new hardware is available!
