Due to low power status of WeatherFlow Tempest, WS Nagu is currently offline. Station Master is trying to figure out how to obtain at least some of the measurements, but this may take some time.

Due to low battery status, Tempest’s wind sampling interval is only once every five minutes and gusts are not reported. This is the main reason wind is not reported as strong it really is. Waiting for manufacturer’s solution to the lack-of-solar-power-on-high-latitudes issue.

We got first snow cover on Xmas Day. Station Master turned on rain collector heater. This must be one of the latest winter days of station’s history to do that.

Due to low power state, Tempest has set some sensors completely offline and with the rest of the sensors, sampling happens with 5 minutes interval only. Currently WS Nagu is not showing rain due to WeatherFlow Tempest low power status. Station Master is working on to connect old Davis rain bucket online to get rain measured in these situations.

New Tempest hardware is attached on top of a pole rising some 2 metres above Station Master’s house’s rooftop. This setup causes now issues with rain measurement when weather is windy.
