There is a new video in WS Nagu’s YouTube Video Gallery. In this video, after about 6 seconds, you can see Arcturus setting between west and northwest. Arcturus is the fourth brightest star on sky and the second brightest star visible in Finland.

Beautiful Noctilucent Clouds
Station Master hopes that you do not get overdose of these skycam posts… but early on July 10, 2020 (between 12.20-3.30 am) there was again beautiful noctilucent clouds caught by station’s Sky Cam. Video can be seen on station’s YouTube Gallery.

Noctilucent Clouds
On YouTube Gallery, there is video on July 8, 2020 showing noctilucent clouds visible right in the beginning of the video. Clouds were visible from 0:22am to about 3am, which takes about ten seconds in the beginning of the video.
New Measurement Available
On Annual Statistics page, there is now Temp Degree Days calculated from the beginning of the year available.
YouTube Skycam Videos
Each day, a two-minute timelapse video of previous day’s skycam images will be created. Some of these will be uploaded to YouTube, and on Weather Station website, there is now a new page, YouTube Video Gallery, where those videos can be played.
Käldö Water Height Cam Back Online
Käldö water height webcam has been replaced. The old cam one stopped working after quite many years of service. Now the image is back online. Even with maximum zoom setting, the new image of the measurement pole is smaller, and that is why there is a digitally zoomed overlay of the pole on the image....
